Hobie Mirage Sport Raffle (drawing Aug 3rd)

Florida Bay Outfitters and Hobie Kayaks are raffling off a new Hobie Mirage Sport. Monica Woll paddled with the Castaways this year from Miami to Key West to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Proceeds from this raffle will help Monica raise her share of the Castaways fund raising goals. If you would like to make a donation directly to Monica and the Castaways click here! What is the FPTA?
The Florida Paddling Trails Association is the volunteer steward of the Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail. We also help look after the environment & work with all other paddle trails and groups in Florida. For more information and to become a member click on the logo.

Multiclub Paddlers Picnic 2008

October 26 Sunday – To be held this year in conjunction with the Calusa Blueway Paddling Festival (Oct 25 – Nov 2). Picnic will be at Lovers Key State Park and sponsored by both SW Florida Paddlers and Paradise Coast Paddling Club. There will be a ‘Monofilament Madness’ estuary cleanup in the morning and a potluck picnic at the Park for lunch starting at noon. Those that show up for the cleanup will get free park entrance. Those that come at noon for the picnic and afternoon paddles will have to pay. There will be clinics and activities as part of the blueway festival further down the beach too!
