Join FBO for instructional ACA training this winter.  Karen Knight will be our  workshop instructor again this year to teach the ACA workshops listed below.  Karen travels widely throughout the US, Canada, and Europe teaching classes and attending paddling events. Karen Knight can teach canoeing at any level on flat (including freestyle) or whitewater, tandem or solo, and sea kayaking for beginners through advanced. Karen is a ACA Instructor Trainer in canoeing and coastal kayaking and is certified to teach ACA Instructor Development Workshops and Certification classes at any level.

The scheduled class for the new American Canoe Association Instructor Development Workshop / Instructor Certification Exam are designed to prepare paddlers who someday may wish to become a certified Paddling Instructor. It is also a fantastic course for those who want to build their confidence, efficiency, and safety out on the water. This course would be a bit much for the absolute beginner but if you have taken previous classes with us or another outfitter than we would recommend going for it. You couldn't ask for a better instructor. Karen is a celebrity in the paddling world.
