FLAMINGO LOOP The wilderness waterway, abundant marine life, a bird watchers haven and fantastic sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico make for an unforgettable experience. Beach camping, combing and shelling lay ahead as we round Florida's Cape Sable.
The Shark River System will take us deep into the mangrove forest where dock like platforms called chickees will become our waterfront homes in the evenings. A pass through Oyster Bay, Joe River and Whitewater Bay will complete our 60-mile loop back to Flamingo.
